Francisco Javier Ruibal de Flores Calero, known as Javier Ruibal, was born on May 15, 1955, in El Puerto de Santa MarÃa, Cádiz, Spain. He is a Spanish musician, singer who began his career with the album Duna in 1982. His breakthrough came in 1994 with the live album Pensión Triana, which featured collaborations with notable musicians such as John Parsons and Jorge Pardo. Following this success, Ruibal released several albums, including Contrabando (1997), Las Damas Primero (2001), and ParaÃsos Mejores (2018). He has performed extensively in Spain and internationally. Ruibal's notable achievements include the Medalla de AndalucÃa in 2007, the Premio Nacional de las Músicas Actuales in 2017, and the Goya Filmpreis für die beste Filmmusik for the film Intemperie in 2020.
