Biography

Led by members of the bands Destroyer (Dan Bejar), Zumpano (A.C. Newman), The Evaporators (John Collins) and guest vocalist Neko Case, The New Pornographers are one of indie rock's supergroups. Formed in Vancouver in 1997, the power-pop nonet has won critical acclaim for its first four albums: Mass Romantic (2000), Electric Version (2003), Twin Cinema (2005) and Challengers (2007). Regularly mentioned in end-of-year or end-of-decade American referendums, The New Pornographers can be found at the whim of its musicians' schedules. In 2010, their fifth album Together features St. Vincent. The next, Brill Bruisers, was released in 2014.
