Biography

Jackopierce, an American alternative rock duo consisting of Jack O'Neill and Cary Pierce, was formed in Dallas, Texas, in 1988. The band's name is a combination of O'Neill’s first name and Pierce’s last name. They began their musical journey while attending Southern Methodist University as theater majors. Their initial breakthrough came with the release of their self-titled debut album in 1991, followed by Woman As Salvation in 1993. Over the next decade, Jackopierce toured extensively across the United States and internationally, sharing stages with notable artists such as Dave Matthews Band, Counting Crows, and Sheryl Crow. In 1997, they concluded their partnership with a sold-out farewell tour and the release of the retrospective double-CD Decade 1988-1998. Jackopierce reunited in 2002 for a series of sold-out shows and continued to release new music, including Promise of Summer (2008) and Feel This Good (2018).
