Issei FÅ«bi Sepia was a male performance group formed in 1982 as a spin-off of the theater troupe Issei FÅ«bi, and made its debut in 1984 with the single âDear [Recipientâs Name], From the Roadâ (1984). Blending J-POP with elements of rock and kayÅkyoku, they gained popularity for their powerful vocals and dynamic group choreography. At the time of their disbandment, the group consisted of six members: Sho Aikawa, Shigemitsu Ogi, Toshiro Yanagiba, Shikata Harumi, Kakei Nishimura, and Fuyukaze Matsumura. Their representative works include the album âStreet, Laugh as If Youâre Crumblingâ (1985), and âSHIBUYAâ (1989). They are also known for songs such as âDear [Omitted], From the Roadâ and âSuite from the Roadâ (1984), as well as âCity, Laugh as If You Were Crumblingâ (1985). âDear [Omitted], From the Roadâ became a massive hit, peaking at No. 2 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart, and as one of the leading performance groups of the 1980s, they had a profound influence on the music and entertainment industries that followed.
