Biography

Issa Bagayogo was a Malian singer and kamele n'goni player born in 1961. Bagayogo blended traditional Malian music with electronic production and pop influences. Their debut album, Sya (1999), gained recognition in Europe and led to the name âTechno Issaâ. Their recordings include Timbuktu (2002), Tassoumakan (2004), and Mali Koura (2008). Collaborations on Mali Koura featured Ba Diallo and Pascale Hubert. Bagayogo died in 2016.
