Named after the Kenyan village where the sessions took place, the Owiny Sigoma Band project brought together five English musicians to work with Joseph Mnyamungo and Charles Okoko. The result, validated by Gilles Peterson and Brownswood Recordings, is the album Owiny Sigoma Band, a musical electroshock released in May 2011.
