Biography
Isabel Christina Soares, born on March 24, 1983, in Avanca, Estarreja, is a Portuguese singer based in Germany. She gained initial recognition through her participation in the German national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 with the single "Will My Heart Survive", produced by Dieter Bohlen. Although she placed sixth, the single outperformed the winning entry in chart positions. Her second single, "Like Snow in June" (2002), reached the top 50 of the German sales charts. Soares' career included notable musical theater roles, such as her appearances in Sternenhimmel (2005â2006), Westerland (2007), and Mandy in Love (2008, 2010). In 2010, she joined the hip-hop trio Urbanize, formed from the casting show X Factor. After the band's dissolution in 2012, Soares released her debut album Thousand Words (2013), which included the single "Something About You" (2013) that entered the top 100 of the German Dance Charts. The album was produced by Olaf Kriewald, whom she later married.
