Biography
Invocator, a Danish thrash metal band from Esbjerg, was formed in 1987. The original lineup included Jacob Hansen on vocals and guitar, Jakob Schultz on guitar, Otto Hansen on bass, and Simon Melsen on drums. In 1988, they released their first demo, Genetic Confusion. The following year, with a new rhythm section, they recorded the demo Alterations, securing a deal with Black Mark Production. Their debut album, Excursion Demise, was released in 1991 and sold 10,000 copies in Europe. Invocator toured extensively, supporting bands like Dark Angel and Paradise Lost. In 1993, they released their second album, Weave the Apocalypse. The band underwent several lineup changes and label shifts, releasing Dying to Live in 1995 before disbanding due to internal issues. Invocator later reunited and released Through the Flesh to the Soul in 2003.
