Biography

Infinity is a Norwegian Eurodance group formed in the late 1990s by Kjell Gabriel Hendrichs from Asker and Birgitte Moe from Bærum. The duo originally met while working in a shopping mall bakery and record store, and they later joined forces with Egil Marius Storstein to create the band. Their debut single "Happy" was released on 11 May 1998 and reached Number two on the VG‑lista chart, marking the group’s breakthrough. In 1999 the trio released their first album, www.happy-people.net, which included the singles "This Time It’s For Real" and "Come on and Dance". After Egil Marius Storstein’s departure in 2000, the band continued as a duo and released the album Naked in the Rain on 19 October 2001, featuring the single "Can You Hear" which peaked at number 12 on VG‑lista. Infinity participated in the Melodi Grand Prix 2007 with "Hooked on You" and later joined the We Love the 90’s tour, maintaining a presence in the Norwegian dance scene. The band remained active, with www.happy-people.net celebrated as Norway’s best‑selling dance album and continued digital releases commemorating its legacy.
