Illdisposed, a Danish death metal band from Aarhus, was formed in 1991 by vocalist Bo Summer and guitarist Lasse Bak. The band's unique sound, blending groovy rhythms and melodic riffs with a distinctive vocal approach, solidified their status in the Nordic death metal scene. Their first demo, The Winter of Our Discontempt (1992), secured them a deal with Nuclear Blast Records. In 1993, they released their debut album, Four Depressive Seasons. The band's lineup evolved over the years, with notable changes including the departure of guitarist Hans Wagner in 1994 and the addition of Jakob "Batten" Hansen in 1999. Illdisposed gained significant traction with albums like 1-800 Vindication (2004) and Burn Me Wicked (2006), both released on Roadrunner Records, which sold 30,000 copies each. Subsequent albums include The Prestige (2008) and To Those Who Walk Behind Us (2009).
