Biography
Childhood friends and mostly from Alençon, the five members of We Are Match didn't bother to designate a leader in their collective, which began rehearsing in a family barn in the heart of summer 2012. Gwën, Aurélien, Jim, Paco and Simon's inventive pop quickly caught on, earning We Are Match a place in the finals of the Les Inrocks Lab competition in 2013, as well as being nominated for the Prix Constantin the following year and selected for FAIR 2015. After performing at the Rock en Seine festival, the band dutifully prepared the release of their first studio opus, christened Shores, which comes two years after an EP entitled Relizane.
