Biography
Heidi Kilpeläinen, known professionally as HK119, was a Finnish singer born in 1966. She graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design with an MA in Fine Art in 2004. Her alter ego, HK119, emerged from her multimedia art background, combining performance art, stage design, video production, and music. In 2005, HK119 released her first single, "Pick Me Up", on One Little Indian Records, followed by her debut album, HK119, in 2006. Her second album, Fast, Cheap and Out of Control, was released in 2008 with a more polished sound thanks to collaborations with Sheffield-based electronic dance producers I Monster. After releasing a remix album in 2010, HK119 released her third studio album, Imaginature, in 2013.
