Biography

Hen Ogledd is a British experimental band formed in 2012 by Richard Dawson and Rhodri Davies. Coming from two different musical worlds, progressive folk for the former and electronic music for the latter, they collaborated on several projects before teaming up for the album Dawson-Davies: Hen Ogledd (2013). The line-up expands with the contributions of Dawn Bothwell on the album Bronze (2016) and Sally Pilkington on the next, Mogic (2018). Known for their theatrical happening performances and improvised musical structures, Hen Ogledd subsequently recorded the album Free Humans (2020) and the EP No Wood Accepted (2021). Four years later, the band reunited to record Discombobulated, released in February 2026.
