Biography

Hemp Gru, a Polish rap group from Warsaw, formed in 1998. Their debut came with the track "Na krawÄdzi" on the compilation Hiphopowy raport z osiedla w najlepszym wykonaniu. In 2004, Hemp Gru released their first album, Klucz, under Prosto Records, which was promoted through music videos for "To jest to," "NienawiÅÄ," and "Sami swoi." The group left Prosto in 2006 and founded DIIL Records. In 2008, Hemp Gru received the European Border Breakers Awards (EBBA). Their second album, Droga, was released in 2009 with accompanying music videos and a promotional tour. Subsequent EPs include JednoÅÄ (2011), LojalnoÅÄ (2011), and Braterstwo (2012). In 2018, they celebrated their 20th anniversary with the album Eter.
