Harvey Williams, born in Newlyn, Cornwall, is an English indie pop musician and singer-songwriter. He established a reputation in 1986 with the solo project Another Sunny Day while studying at Plymouth Polytechnic. The projectâs first release, the 1988 flexi-disc "Anorak City", appeared with the fanzine Are You Scared to Get Happy? and received the NME Single of the Week distinction. Williams followed this with the 1992 compilation album London Weekend. In addition to his solo work, Williams established a career as a multi-instrumentalist for several influential groups, becoming a permanent member of The Field Mice and performing with Blueboy, The Hit Parade, and Trembling Blue Stars. Under his own name, Williams released the albums Rebellion (1994) and California (1998). As of 2002, he was a member of Trembling Blue Stars while employed at the BBC.
