Biography
Hannah Marie Fury, an American singer-songwriter, began her musical journey at 16 when she started teaching herself piano. Her first release was a four-song demo tape in the early 1990s, which evolved into the self-released EP Soul Poison (1998). Fury's debut full-length album, The Thing That Feels, followed in 2000 and received favorable reviews. She continued to produce music independently through her label MellowTraumatic Recordings, releasing albums such as Through The Gash (2007) and Little Family (2020). Fury's work is known for its melancholic tone and references to eclectic subject matters and imagery such as matricide, mandrakes, caged birds, drowning, and, most particularly, Marie Antoinette, who was mentioned in "The Necklace of Marie Antoinette" from Soul Poison. Despite not performing live, her recordings have garnered a devoted following.
