Biography

GZR, an American heavy metal band founded by Geezer Butler, bassist and lyricist of Black Sabbath. The group initially released their debut album Plastic Planet under the name g//z/r, featuring Burton C. Bell from Fear Factory on vocals. In 1996, they contributed "Outworld" to the compilation Mortal Kombat: More Kombat, with Mario Frasca on vocals. The band's second album, Black Science, was released in 1997 under the name geezer, featuring Clark Brown as the vocalist. In 2005, they released their third studio album, Ohmwork, as GZR. Throughout their career, G//Z/R played live dates supporting acts like Bruce Dickinson.
