Biography

ALHAMBRA is a Japanese metal band formed in 2003 and based in Kanagawa Prefecture. The lineup features JUNKO on vocals, TOSHIHIRO on guitar, HIBIKI on bass, YUHKI on keyboards, and HIDEKI on drums. Known for blending melodic power metal with symphonic and progressive elements, ALHAMBRA built its identity around dramatic arrangements, virtuosic instrumentation, and JUNKO’s powerful, expressive voice. The band made its recording debut with Ashita e no Yakusoku in 2005, introducing a sound that combined soaring melodies with heavy guitar riffs and intricate keyboard layers. They followed with FADISTA in 2007 and SOLITUDE in 2010, both of which expanded their symphonic scope and reinforced their reputation within Japan’s metal scene. In 2012, ALHAMBRA released SIEGFRIED, a concept-driven work that highlighted their theatrical songwriting and technical precision. Continuing their evolution, the band issued their fifth album, SKYWARD PRAY(2026), further refining their signature blend of melodic intensity and epic atmosphere.
