Gurr, a German indie rock duo based in Berlin, was formed in 2012 by Andreya Casablanca and Laura Lee. The two musicians met while studying North American studies at university in Berlin. Their initial releases included the singles "The Tragedy of S.T.", "Joseph Gordon-Levitt", "Super Tired" and "Velvet" in September 2012, followed by the EP Furry Dream in April 2015. Gurr's debut album, In My Head, was released in October 2016 and featured notable singles such as "Moby Dick" and "Walnuts". In 2020, the duo contributed to the soundtrak of the ZDF-ORF production Nicht tot zu kriegen.
