Biography

GroÃstadtEngel was founded in Germany in 2015. The band consists of the singers Myriam Koudsi, born in Germany, and Chris Gethmann, also born in Germany. They mainly play modern children's and family music with elements of pop and dance songs. Myriam Koudsi began her musical career in pop music and German-language pop music before recording her first album of traditional children's songs in 2014 and devoting herself intensively to music for children. Together with Chris Gethmann, she started writing her own songs for the duo GroÃstadtEngel in 2015 and turned it into a professional project. Releases include several children's song albums. These include Kinderdiscoland (2022) with a variety of movement hits for children as well as other albums that are popular in the children's song genre. The duo became best known for their single "Gute Laune" (2025), which went viral on social media and reached number 42 in the Official German Singles Charts. "Gute Laune" remains visible in the charts for weeks, followed by the release of the single "Ohrwurm" in December 2025. Further singles such as "Weihnachtszeit" complete the repertoire and show the thematic diversity of the duo.
