Biography
Grade 2, a punk revival band from Ryde on the Isle of Wight, England, was formed in May 2013 by bassist and lead vocalist Sid Ryan, guitarist and singer Jack Chatfield, and drummer Jacob Hull. In November 2013, Grade 2 signed with German record label Contra Records, under which they released several EPs including Die with out Boots On (split with Saints and Sinners) in June 2015 and their debut full-length album Mainstream View in 2016. In 2018, the band signed with US-based Hellcat Records. Grade 2 has toured extensively across Europe since 2013, including notable support slots for The Interrupters (autumn 2018), Dropkick Murphys (spring 2019) and Guns n' Roses at BST Hyde Park in 2023. Their subsequent albums include Break the Routine (2017), Graveyard Island (2019), Grade 2 (2023), and Talk About It (2026).
