Biography
Goon Moon is an American rock band formed in 2002 by musicians Jeordie White, also known as Twiggy Ramirez, and Chris Goss. The ensemble serves as an experimental project for the duo to explore musical genres ranging from psychedelia to industrial and desert rock. White and Goss were introduced by Josh Homme, who became a frequent collaborator. The band released their debut mini-LP, I Got a Brand New Egg Layin' Machine, in 2005 through Suicide Squeeze Records. In May 2007, the group issued their first full-length studio album, Licker's Last Leg, through Ipecac Recordings. The record featured guest performances from Josh Homme, Dave Catching, and drummer Josh Freese, as well as a cover of the Bee Gees song âEvery Christian Lion Hearted Man Will Show Youâ. White eventually rejoined Marilyn Manson in 2008 while remaining a member of the group. The band remained active in the United States, performing at various clubs in regions such as San Francisco.
