Girls at Our Best!, an English post-punk band formed in Leeds in 1979. The group initially consisted of vocalist Judy "Jo" Evans, guitarist James "Jez" Alan, bassist Gerard "Terry" Swift and drummer Chris Oldroyd. They released their debut single "Getting Nowhere Fast" in 1980 on Record Records, which reached number 9 on the UK Indie Chart. The band's name was derived from a line in their track "Warm Girls", released as the B-side to "Getting Nowhere Fast". Following lineup changes, they released their second single "Politics" in November 1980, and their biggest Indie Chart hit "Go for Gold" in June 1981 by Happy Birthday Records. The band's sole album, Pleasure, was released in 1981, reaching number 60 on the UK Albums Chart. The band split in 1982.
