Giorgio Consolini, born on August 28, 1920 in Bologna, Italy, was an Italian singer who began his career performing regularly in local dance halls. His breakthrough came when he won a singing contest organized by the radio station Rai, leading to his recruitment by Armando Fragna's orchestra. In the post-war and 1950s era, Consolini became one of Italy's most popular singers alongside Claudio Villa and Luciano Tajoli. He released his first singles in 1948 under the label CGD and later signed with Parlophon, where he recorded most of his discography. His notable achievements include participating in the Sanremo Festival from 1953 to 1962, winning the festival in 1954 with "Tutte le mamme" alongside Gino Latilla, and achieving a second-place finish in 1957 with "Usignolo". In 1987, Consolini formed the vocal ensemble Quelli di Sanremo. He passed away on April 28, 2012 at the age of 91.
