Biography

Born on February 19, 1956 in San Severo, Italy, green-fingered singer, lyricist, conductor and TV celebrity Luca Sardella took the road less travelled to musicianship, graduating initially in the field of agriculture. Equally tending to his passion for pop music and his knowledge of plants, Sardella scored his first recorded hit in 1984 with his interpretation of "Lo, Io Senza Te" by Fausto Leali. He made his major-label debut three years later with the album Una Storia Pulita, and in 1989 released the follow-up, Storie... Around the same time as beginning his fruitful career as a TV agriculturist – appearing on the popular Rai2 program Una Pianta al Giorno in the 1990s and later maintaining the "Green Hope" column on the Canale 5 Striscia la Notita program – Sardella issued 1991 album Cielo. Ti Regalo Un Fiore appeared in 1992 and in 1996, a 70-track cover collection of Italian hits, Emotions, emerged. Tu Sei landed in 2011 and 2012 saw the release of Temporale. After taking a break from recording for a number of years, Sardella returned in 2019 with the upbeat dance-pop single "Spettacolare Ghiacciato".
