Gina X Performance was a German dance-rock/electropop project from Cologne, consisting of singer Gina Kikoine and producer Zeus B. Held. Formed in 1978 after Held left Birth Control, their first single, "No G.D.M.," became a hit, leading to a festival appearance in Vienna. Their debut album Nice Mover (1979) blended disco rhythms with experimental sounds. The band's second album, X-Traordinaire (1980), featured the single "Strip Tease" and explored deeper themes. In 1981, they released their third album Voyeur, known for its radical approach. After personal projects, including Kikoine's work with Billy McKenzie, Gina X Performance reunited in 1984 to release the album Yinglish. Despite poor commercial results, tracks from their albums have appeared on various compilations like The 9'O'Clock Drop and Music from Hell.
