Biography

Ghoultown, an American rock band from Dallas, Texas, was formed in 1999 by vocalist/guitarist Count Lyle. Their initial release was the EP Boots of Hell, recorded in October 1999. In early 2001, Ghoultown released their debut album, Tales from the Dead West. The band's music gained traction with the inclusion of four songs in the soundtrack of the 2002 horror film American Nightmare. Subsequent studio albums include Give ’Em More Rope (2002), Bury Them Deep (2006), Life After Sundown (2008), Ghost of the Southern Son (2017), and Curse of Eldorado (2020). Notable singles include “Skeleton Cowboys” (2008) and “Where Voodoo Sleeps” (2020). Ghoultown’s song “Killer in Texas” was featured in the short film Headcheese.
