Biography

HorrorPops, a Danish alternative rock group formed in 1996, originated from a collaboration between vocalist and bassist Patricia Day and guitarist Kim Nekroman in Cologne, Germany, after meeting at the Popkom festival. The band’s lineup later included drummer Henrik “Niedermeier” Stendahl and various dancers. Their first public exposure came with the 2003 single "Ghouls" / "Psychobitches Outta Hell" released on Rancid Records, followed by the single "Miss Take" in 2004. In 2004 the band signed with Hellcat Records, issued the debut studio album Hell Yeah! on 10 February 2004, and embarked on a U.S. tour with The Offspring, gaining visibility in the American punk scene. The follow‑up album Bring It On! was released 13 September 2005, featuring new rhythm guitarist Geoff Kresge; after his departure the group returned to a trio configuration. Their third studio effort, Kiss Kiss Kill Kill, dropped on 5 February 2008, and the band toured extensively, including a stint on the Vans Warped Tour. After a nine‑year hiatus, HorrorPops returned to the stage in 2020 and released the live album Live at the Wiltern in June 2021, documenting 19 tracks recorded during a Californian performance.
