Biography

Kevin Michael Allin, known as GG Allin, and born on August 29, 1956, in Lancaster, New Hampshire, was an American punk rock musician. He began his music career as a drummer and singer, forming his first band, Little Sister's Date, with his older brother Merle in the mid-1970s. In 1980, Allin released his debut album Always Was, Is and Always Shall Be under Orange Records. He also fronted the Jabbers from 1977 to 1984. His live performances were notorious for transgressive acts such as self-mutilation and defecating on stage. Allin released numerous albums throughout his career, including E.M.F. (1987), Bleedin' Stinkin' & Drinkin' (1991), and I am the Highest Power (1992). He died from a drug overdose on June 28, 1993.
