Biography

George Ducas, born on August 1, 1966, in Galveston, Texas, is an American country music singer and songwriter. He began his music career in Nashville, performing in local clubs and honing his songwriting skills. His breakthrough came in 1994 when "Just Call Me Lonesome," a co-written song, reached the top 10 on the country charts. His debut single "Teardrops" became a top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, followed by his signature hit "Lipstick Promises," which peaked at number 9. His self-titled debut album George Ducas was released in 1995. In 2013, he released 4340 through Loud Ranch, and in January 2020, he released Yellow Rose Motel.
