Generation B is a music project from Hamburg, founded in 2025 by Frederik Braun (co-founder of Miniatur Wunderland) and Johanna Braun Erdelbrock (musician, educator). The duo is aimed at the "scroll generation" and uses catchy pop and hip-hop elements to talk about digital education, screen time and modern media use with ironic ease. Their musical style is a mixture of pop, educational and appeal music and at the same time a media education statement. Frederik Braun and Johanna Braun Erdelbrock, parents of five children, bring their different backgrounds to the table: he comes from the model-making and entrepreneurial milieu, she from the education sector. With their first song "Bildschirmblick" (2025), they send a loud, colorful signal for a more conscious use of smartphones. In it, they reflect on existence in the digital age - not a moralization, but a catchy tune that invites you to reflect. They also released "Okay, no cell phone today. Promise!" as the B-side, a gentle, conciliatory message against the constant sensory overload.
