Guðrún Ãr Eyfjörð Jóhannesdóttir, known professionally as GDRN, and born on January 8, 1996, in ReykjavÃk, Iceland, is a singer and actress who began her musical journey with classical violin training for 11 years before transitioning to jazz piano and singing. Her breakthrough came during her final year at ReykjavÃk Junior College when she started making music professionally. GDRN released her debut album Hvað ef in 2018, which included the hit song "Lætur mig". She won four awards at the 2018 Icelandic Music Awards, including Pop Singer of the Year and Pop Album of the Year. The following year, she headlined at the ÃjóðhátÃð and was named Mosfellsbær's artist of 2019. Her second album, GDRN, was released in 2020.
