Biography
Funambulista is a Spanish pop-rock project led by singer-songwriter Diego Cantero, who was born on April 6, 1982 in Molina de Segura, Murcia, Spain. Cantero began his musical career at a young age and gained early recognition after winning the Mola Joven contest in 2000, later releasing a demo titled Cuentos. He launched the Funambulista project in 2009 and released its self-titled debut in 2010. Produced by Ludovico Vagnone and Cantero, the album included the single "Cosas Que No Quise Decirte", which received airplay on major radio stations in Spain. Funambulista toured extensively and performed as a supporting act for artists such as Maldita Nerea. The project released Quédate in 2014 and signed with Sony Music in 2016. Other notable albums include Dual (2017), La Noche del Botánico (2018), and El Observatorio (2021).
