Biography

Sidonie, an alternative rock band from Spain, was formed in Barcelona in 1997. The group consists of Marc Ros (vocals, guitar, bass), Jesús Senra (backing vocals, bass, sitar, electric and acoustic guitars), and Axel Pi (drums, tablas, bongos). They gained recognition by winning a young talent contest in Hospitalet de Llobregat, which led to their first contract with Bip Bip Records. Their debut EP Dragonfly was released in 2001, followed by the self-titled album Sidonie, which featured songs used in commercials and sparked controversy over political messaging. In 2004, Sidonie signed with Sony Records and released several albums, including Shell Kids, Fascinado, Costa Azul, and El Incendio. Their 2016 album El Peor Grupo del Mundo included the single "Carreteras infinitas", which reached Number 10 on Los 40 Principales.
