Biography
Fleshies are an American punk rock ensemble from Oakland, California, formed in 1999. The group consists of Mattowar, Vonny Bon Bons, John Geek, Brian Plastik, and Hamiltron. Their recording career began with the tape Arbgabdo, Baby! (1999) and the debut studio recording Fleshies (2000). They achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Kill the Dreamer's Dream (2001), released through the label Alternative Tentacles. Their discography includes the studio recordings The Sicilian (2003), Scrape the Walls (2006), and Brown Flag (2009). They achieved professional recognition for their stage presence, left-wing politics, and a touring schedule from 1999 to 2006, performing at events including Geekfest and The Fest. After a period of inactivity, they resumed activity with the studio recording Introducing the Fleshies (2019). Members of the ensemble participated in side projects including Triclops!, Harbinger, and Pigs.
