Biography

Faouzia Ouihya was born on July 5, 2000 in Casablanca, Morocco. In order to give Faouzia the best possible education, her parents decided to move from Casablanca to Manitoba in Canada just one year after her birth. At the age of six, she began 11 years of training on the piano, which she mastered alongside the violin. When she received compliments on her singing voice, Faouzia began uploading her performances to video streaming services. By the age of 15, she had already won several awards. With "Knock On My Door" (2015) and "My Heart's Grave" (2017), Faouzia launches a series of self-published releases, which she complements with guest appearances by well-known artists such as David Guetta and Parisian rapper Ninho. Further independently released singles such as "This Mountain" (2019), "Born Without A Heart" (2019), "Tears Of Gold" (2019) and "Minefields" (2020) appear in 2019 and early 2020. She also lands another guest appearance, this time with Atlantic Records artist Kelly Clarkson on her single "I Dare You" (2020). Atlantic soon signed her and - after a collaboration with Swedish house duo Galantis on "I Fly" (2020) - she released her first proper major label single "How it All Works Out" in July 2020, followed by her debut EP Stripped in the same year. in 2021, she released the singles "Hero", "Hung Up Childhood-Memories" and "Puppet".
