Bahari are an alternative pop duo from Manhattan Beach, California. Born from a fortunate encounter at a studio, the group was formed in 2014 and was initially a trio composed of Ruby Carr, Natalia Panzarella, and Sidney Sartini. âWild Ones,â their folky debut single, came out that same year via Interscope Records and quickly blew up online, racking up over 40 million streams and appearing in TV shows like Teen Wolf and The Royals. In 2015, Bahari lent their voices to the hit song âAddicted to a Memory,â featured on Zeddâs True Colors. Following the success of their debut EP Dancing on the Sun in 2016, Bahari dropped two cover versions of The Youngbloodsâ âGet Togetherâ (2017) and Buffalo Springfieldâs âFor What Itâs Worthâ (2018) before terminating their contract with Interscope. Sartini left the band shortly after the release of the 2018 singles âFucked Upâ and âChasers,â after which Carr and Panzarella continued as a duo. A collaboration with Sultan & Shepard and Rock Mafia titled âMiles to Your Heartâ saw the light in 2019 and was followed by the singles âGameboy,â âSavage,â and âWaking Up the Neighbors,â which acted as a teaser for their studio debut, The Virgin Suicides, released in 2021.
