Biography
Catrin Terrell Rhodes, known professionally as Evil Pimp, was born on May 17, 1981, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He began his career in the late 1990s and started recording music in 1996. His professional entertainment career took off in January 2005 when his solo album Da Exorcist Returns reached Number 5 on the Billboard Top Internet Album Sales chart. The album is recognized as a significant achievement in "horrorcore" rap music. In 2003, Rhodes formed the group Krucifix Klan with friends from Iowa and released their debut album, Da Krucifixin, in 2004. Evil Pimp has produced for and overseen the careers of many rappers, including Playa Rob and Ms. Insain. He is known for his mastery of "Memphis" style beats and has cited Academy Award-winning hip hop group Three 6 Mafia as a significant influence on his production techniques. Notable albums include Kreepin Out tha Kut (2004), Witness Your Murder (2006), Da Ruddest (2012), and Street Smart (2022).
