Biography
Essaie Pas, a Canadian electronic music group formed in 2010, consisted of wife-and-husband duo Marie Davidson and Pierre Guerineau. Based in Montreal, Quebec, Essaie Pas released their first guitar-oriented four-song cassette EP in 2011 on Téméraire Records. Their subsequent releases, including a split with Hobo Cubes and the album Tout est jeune in 2012, showcased an electronic sound. In 2013, Malditos Records and Teenage Menopause Records co-released the compilation Nuit de noce, featuring tracks from previous cassettes plus an unreleased track. Essaie Pas released their studio album, Demain est une autre nuit, on DFA Records in 2016, which was longlisted for the 2016 Polaris Music Prize. The band's follow-up record, New Path, was announced in early 2018 and released later that year on DFA Records. In 2019, they issued the EP Earth.
