Eric Reprid, born Shi Yi Liu on November 21, 1998, is a Chinese-Canadian rapper and songwriter from Vancouver, Canada. He began his music career in late 2016 after dropping out of college to pursue rap with friend and producer Marc Wavy. Initially releasing underground music, Reprid gained traction with his first album Who Cares in the summer of 2018 and followed it up with Bloom in 2020. His breakthrough came with the single "Cold World" (2020), which reached over 65 million streams on a streaming platform and was nominated for Rap Recording of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2021. Reprid continued his success with projects like 3ternity (2022) and Riddy's Revenge (Deluxe) (2023).
