Enmanuel Herrera Batista (December 18, 1990), who goes by the name El Alfa, is a Latin reggaeton and dembow performer from the Dominican Republic who has released two studio albums since he began his career in 2009. Disciplina (2017) peaked at Number 10 on Billboard's Latin Album Sales chart, Number 11 on the Latin Rhythm Albums chart, and Number 45 on the Top Latin Albums chart. El Hombre (2018) reached Number 6 on the Latin Rhythm Albums chart, Number 7 on the Top Latin Albums chart, and Number 17 on the Latin Album Sales chart. His 2018 track âMi Mamiâ featuring Cardi B peaked at Number 9 on Billboard's Latin Digital Song Sales chart. He also featured on Major Lazer & J Balvin's âQué Calorâ (2019), which topped Billboard's Latin Digital Song Sales chart and went to Number 2 on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Song Sales chart, and Bad Bunny's âLa Romanaâ (2019), which reached Number 5 on the Latin Digital Song Sales chart and Number 12 on the Hot Latin Songs chart. His track âCoronao Nowâ featuring Lil Pump went to Number 19 on the Latin Digital Songs chart upon its release in November 2019. The song was also featured on his 2020 full-length El Androide, which included guest spots by Myke Towers (âUn DÃa SÃâ), Rauw Alejandro (âBésaloâ), Yandel (âDembow y Reggaetonâ), and Diplo (âTecnobowâ). After hitting the Top 10 on both the Latin Top Albums and the Latin Rhythm Albums charts in the US with his third full-length, El Alfa followed up with the singles â4Kâ with Darell and Noriel, and âBebéâ with Colombian singer Camilo. He also appeared on Justin Quilesâ Number 1 single âPam,â also featuring Daddy Yankee. In 2021, El Alfa issued the single âLa Mamá de la Mamá,â featuring production by longtime collaborator Chael Produciendo and a special cameo by American drill artist CJ. The track became hugely popular in Latin America and even in Spain, where it climbed to Number 81 on Promusicaeâs charts.
