Edwards Hand, a British musical group formed in 1968 by Welshman Rod Edwards and Englishman Roger Hand, began their career under the name Picadilly Line. Their first album, The Huge World of Emily Small, was released that year. After changing their name to Edwards Hand, they released an eponymous debut album in 1969 produced by George Martin. The following year saw the release of Stranded, which featured contributions from James Litherland and John Wetton. Their final studio album, Rainshine, was recorded in 1971 but remained unreleased until 2010 due to rejection by their label RCA Victor. In 1975, Edwards and Hand set music to the poems of a children's picture book, The Butterfly Ball and the Grasshopper's Feast. The album featured voices from Judi Dench and Michael Hordern.
