Biography

Ednaswap was an American rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1993. The group consisted of Anne Preven on vocals, Scott Cutler and Rusty Anderson on guitar, Paul Bushnell on bass, and Scot Coogan on drums. After recording an acoustic demo, Ednaswap signed with EastWest Records and released their self-titled debut album in 1995. The band's breakthrough came with the song "Torn", which was later covered by Natalie Imbruglia and reached number 2 on the UK Singles Chart and Number 1 on the Billboard Airplay chart for 14 weeks, selling over a million copies in the United Kingdom alone. Ednaswap released three more albums, including Chicken (1996), Wacko Magneto (1997), and Wonderland Park (1998). Despite their success with "Torn", the band disbanded on April 12, 1999.
