Biography
Early Man, an American heavy metal band from New York, was formed in 1999 when guitarist and vocalist Mike Conte began performing under that name. The band's nucleus solidified with the addition of drummer Adam Bennati. Early Man released their self-titled EP Early Man in 2005 on Monitor Records, quickly gaining attention from the independent music scene. Matador Records signed them that year, releasing their debut album Closing In in September 2006. The band later signed with The End Records and released their second album Death Potion on July 27, 2010. Bennati departed from the band in 2011. Mike Conte composed music for the Cartoon Network show Secret Mountain Fort Awesome in 2011.
