Ulf Lindemann, known professionally as Dunkelbunt, and born in December 1979 in Hamburg, Germany, is a musician, music producer, DJ, and bandleader. He began his career as a DJ and musician in 1998 when he founded the project Dunkelbunt, initially as an event series and record label. In 2001, he moved to Vienna, Austria, where he continued to work under the pseudonym Dunkelbunt, producing electronic music that blends Southeastern European folklore, klezmer, and swing with electronic beats. Throughout his career, Dunkelbunt has collaborated with numerous artists such as Fanfare CiocÄrlia, Boban Markovic Orkestar, and Protoje. Notable albums include Morgenlandfahrt (2007), Mountain Jumper (2015), and Dunkelbunt Social Club (2022). His music has been featured on various compilations and he has toured extensively across Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, Canada, Israel, and the USA.
