Biography
Born on May 13, 1989, in South Central Los Angeles, Jared Leonardo Lee - known professionally as DUCKWRTH - grew up in a Christian household surrounded by music. Before pursuing music full-time, he studied graphic design in college and gained early exposure through TeamBackpack cyphers. In the mid-2010s, he began releasing music under the DUCKWRTH moniker, including the 2015 collaborative project Nowhere with The Kickdrums and his debut solo album I'm Uugly in 2016. His 2017 mixtape An XTRA UUGLY Mixtape marked his first release with Republic Records. DUCKWRTH gained further attention with tracks in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Insecure, and All American. He released The Falling Man EP in 2019, followed by his major-label debut SuperGood in 2020. His later EPs SG8* (2021) and Chrome Bull (2022) were released under his own SuperGood Creative Studios.
