Dol Ammad, a Greek heavy metal band formed in 2000 by keyboard player Thanasis Lightbridge, was known for its unique instrumentation that combines conventional metal elements with synthesizers and a fourteen-member choir. The band's name was derived from a fuel refinery in the computer game Descent 3. Their first full-length album, Star Tales, was released on November 30, 2004. The band's subsequent releases include Ocean Dynamics (2006), which featured guest vocals from D.C. Cooper of Silent Force and Royal Hunt, the EP Winds of the Sun (2010), Cosmic Gods: Episode I â Hyperspeed (2012) and Cosmic Gods: Episode II - Astroatlas (2018).
