Biography

Dead Horse was an American thrash metal band from Houston, Texas, formed in 1987. Their first release, Horsecore: An Unrelated Story That's Time Consuming, came out independently in June 1989. The band released their LP Peaceful Death and Pretty Flowers in 1991 through Big Chief Records and Metal Blade under Warner Bros. Records. Dead Horse released the self-financed EP Feed Me in 1994, which was intended as a demo for Interscope Records. The band disbanded in 1997 but reunited from 2011 to 2019, releasing new material including the EP Loaded Gun (2014) and the album The Beast That Comes (2017). Songs include "Celebrate" (1994), "Hank" (1989) from Horsecore, and "Chiggers" (1994) from Feed Me.
