LUXT was an American industrial metal band formed in Sacramento, California, in 1995 by multi-instrumentalists Anna Christine and Erie Loch. The duo released their debut album, Jezebel Thirteen Three, on March 1, 1996, through Chalkhead Records. In 1997, LUXT signed with 21st Circuitry and released their second album, Disrepair. Their third album, Razing Eden, followed in 1998 and was noted for its improved production value and focus on hooks and melodies. The band self-released Chromasex Monkeydrive in April 2000 through Chalkhead Records. In 2003, LUXT released their fifth album, American Beast, which peaked at number 19 on the CMJ Loud Rock: College chart and number 32 on the Loud Rock: Crucial Spins chart in February of that year. After a decade together, LUXT disbanded on April 15, 2005.
