Die Schroders, a German punk rock band from Bad Gandersheim, was formed in 1989 by Burger (vocals and acoustic guitar) and Hämpy (guitar). The band gained local attention through regional performances and established their fan club, "Freunde der Schröders," in the same year. Their breakthrough came with the release of their first single, "Candy", in 1990 under EMI, which sold over 15,000 copies. In 1991, Die Schroders released their debut album Mutter horcht an deiner Tür following a label switch to T.A.O.B., marking the start of extensive touring across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Their second album, Frisch gepresst, released in 1995 under WEA Records, achieved notable success in Austria where the single "Lass uns schmutzig Liebe machen" topped the charts for a week. Die Schroders officially disbanded on December 27, 2009, following a farewell concert at the Palaver Hall in Bad Gandersheim.
